EU REGULATIONS – applies to physical goods which are not customised or personalised:

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to inform me that you wish to return it.

Returns must be sent tracked. Once your order has been returned in the same condition as it was sent, I will be able to issue you a full refund, less the amount you paid for postage. Any damage incurred during return shipping will incur a loss of value charge, the amount depending on the item value. I cannot refund any non EU customs taxes incurred.

Drift Niceties is not responsible for paying the return costs of your order, packaging costs, nor any taxes that may be incurred. Should you wish to return an order, and require a form to complete, please get in touch, and I will send you one. It is up to the buyer to arrange a reputable courier/postal service. If you would like to know a return shipping estimate before purchase please get in touch.

Due to courier policies, fragile items (glass, stone, ceramic) are shipped at the buyers risk. I cannot refund if broken in transit, the same is true for returning such items. I take great pride in my packaging and have shipped mirrors etc all over the world.

For larger/heavier items, the courier sometimes applies a fee for non collected and returned to sender items (UK £6, International £20), this fee will be deducted with a packaging fee if a refund is preferred. I can also resend the item for the same shipping cost plus the courier’s return to sender fee. Sourced and sold from the UK, sold according to UK law and any action will be taken through a UK court. By purchasing you agree to these terms.

You can also reserve (layaway) items over £50. This requires a 25% non-refundable deposit. I will hold them for up to 14 days. If the remaining 75% has not been paid during that time I will relist the item.

As many of the items I stock are vintage, they will of course often show signs of age and wear, most of which I describe in the listing, but it would not be possible for me to list all marks, age related dirt etc, please be aware of this. The same is true for materials used to originally create the item. I do not claim to be an expert on any of the items I sell. Due to the items being of varying ages, they are not recommended for children. Colour of items may vary slightly due to monitors.



For larger parcels (above 2kg and/or larger than Royal Mail’s sizing), I receive a courier account discount which I pass on to my customers. This is the case for all domestic orders, and most international orders. All items sold for £5 and above are sent tracked and/or signed for. I provide the tracking number on the dispatch note. I always refund overpaid shipping, minus a small packaging cost. I ship all over the world regularly! I do not have any control over delivery as soon as I have shipped your order and cannot be responsible for any delays by customs. Some items are more likely to be delayed by international customs, one such example is metal boxes. Airport scanners cannot penetrate the metal to see inside. While I ship the any metal boxes open, customs may decide to send it via land or sea, which takes longer.

Occasionally, as the recipient, you may be required to phone the delivery courier in your country if there is a delay. Please contact me if you would like the phone number and tracking number. I do all I can from my end in the event of a delay, but once your order has been shipped, ultimately, it is no longer in my control.

For items made of breakables including glass and stone – I ship breakables frequently and I take great pride in my protective packaging.

For UK Highlands, Channel Islands, and Northern Ireland customers, please expect additional shipping costs for items over 2kg and/or bigger than a Royal Mail small parcel, as the courier charges more for delivery to this area. For more information please get in touch before purchase.

Please note that some countries outside of the EU sometimes apply customs duties to orders imported. I can’t be responsible for paying custom fees as this is a tax levied by your government. Please contact your local customs office if you are uncertain whether your order will be subject to a tax.

I sometimes use recycled cardboard boxes for shipping, they are strong and sturdy, and help to reduce our carbon footprints.

I aim to ship orders within 1-2 working days, usually with Parcelforce 48 or Royal Mail Signed For for domestic orders, and Parcelforce Global Priority or Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed for international orders. If you require international shipping please get in touch before purchase, as not all items can be sent abroad. If I am on a break I will get in touch to let you know the shipping date. Express shipping is available at an extra cost.
