Very Large 1930s Great Western Railway Engineers Plans Chart on Fine Linen & Original Stamped Wooden Roller
This highly unusual and very large plan rolls onto the original wooden roller, stamped GWR. It is dated 1937 and features the water supply for Fishguard & Goodwick, Pembrokeshire, along with the railway line and nearby houses and buildings. It even shows where the ferry terminal would be built, and the local lifeboat station. Measuring 265cm x 80cm, it shows ink blots, stains and marks throughout, and a small tear (please see photos). It is drawn onto some sort of very fine canvas or linen fabric.
