This beautifully painted c1900 watercolour shows wonderful character and is titled “Waiting for the Ferry-boat, A Canal in Upper Egypt Late Afternoon”. The measurements given are for the original antique frame, which shows signs of age and wear with some damage and chips in places (please see photos). The framer was Thomas Andrew & Sons of Manchester. F.F. Ogilvie artwork is highly collectable and has been sold throughout many of Britain’s most prestigious auction houses. I had to take photographs of the painting at an angle to avoid reflections.
