This antique tartan is in its original frame and features the original name plaque – Fraser. Measuring 154cm x 41cm, it was on display in a London kilt shop that closed thirty years ago, and was used as a wall display. It shows wear throughout to the tartan and the frame with some moth holes to the tartan and a few marks to the wood. It also looks as though the plaque was changed at some point in the past (please see photos). It features the original holes for hanging on a wall. I have a few of these from the same shop including Fraser, MacGregor, Stuart, Buchanan, and Shepherd. I am unsure of the type of tartan this is as I can’t find another example of it online.
